Everything we know about Wasteland 3

Wasteland 3 is the next game in the tactical turn-based RPG series and the direct sequel of Wasteland 2, set in post-apocalyptic Colorado. The game will be out for the Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Mac, and Linux on August 28. We hope that the Nintendo Switch version of the game will be available after a while.

After leaving California’s sunny coasts to reach the freezing wastelands of Colorado, now you’re alone and must gather up to six Rangers. Customize them base on your playstyle, Have a truck at your disposal and even upgrade it the way you desire in the Wasteland 3.

About This Game

The game will follow the events of Wasteland 2. More than a century has passed after the bombs fell.  A group of survivors called the Desert Rangers are now without a proper base of operations. Then the self-proclaimed Patriarch of Colorado Springs radios, and ask for the help. If the Desert Rangers help him to keep his nation united, he will give all the resources they’d need to rebuild their Base. So the Desert Rangers send a squad called Team November to the freezing wastelands of Colorado. But things went wrong, and now the sole survivor of the team must rebuild a society from the ashes.

In a savage land full of buried secrets, murderous factions, fearsome gangs, and lost technology, you must face difficult choices, build a reputation, make sacrifices, and find a vehicle to survive.   

– Optional multiplayer campaign mode

For the first time in the series, you are able to play the main campaign with a friend. Each player will create and control a squad, you will explore and complete missions together, change Rangers if you want, or split up and go on in different directions to cover more locations, but be aware that your actions will affect your teammate and vice versa. Apart from the multiplayer mode, the core of Wasteland 3 will still be a single-player experience and if a player stops playing, the campaign will continue with only one online player.

– Vehicles

For the first time in the Wasteland series, Wasteland 3 has the vehicle options. You can drive or use them as storage. Vehicles are also upgradable with parts you find and weapons to use them in combats.

–  Combat

Mostly a Turn-based combat the same as Wasteland 2 with similar challenges (including negotiating supply lines and assisting threatened communities), with one major difference! There’s a team-focused ability, which means that your Rangers tactical skills will affect the whole squad.
the game also has a mechanic for characters to escape from near-death situations(no more details available).

– Ranger Base 

Ranger Base is a key location and a core part of Wasteland 3. You must help local people and establish a new Ranger Base in Colorado to survive. Apart from a place to accept new missions and changing companions, Ranger Base will be an important center in the game.

– New Dialog System

You must choose between dialogues that technically lead to branching conversations.
