Telling Lies – PC

Four private lives. One big lie!
Telling Lies is a narrative video game about some Private, secretly recorded video conversations on a stolen hard-drive. Search through the conversations and discover the truth.

About this game

You play as a woman whose motives are initially unclear, who has been given access to an archive of secretly recorded video calls taken from the laptops and mobile phones of four very different people who you know nothing about them at the beginning. players become involved in a drama that is played out through stored video clips and other information presented on a virtual computer desktop. You will watch four people (staring Logan Marshall-Green, Alexandra Shipp, Kerry Bishé, and Angela Sarafyan) video calls made between them ( in a two-year period)which have been stored on a stolen hard-drive taken from the National Security Agency. Use tools provided in the game to match events and find out what is going on.

Gameplay

– The game takes place entirely within the desktop of a PC. There are some clues scattered around here documents, images, notes—that give you an idea of who you are and what you’re looking for. You can drag windows around, write things down in a notes app, and even play a spot of solitaire if your brain needs a rest.

– Explore the database, Search the keywords and find the clips that include those words, piece together timelines, events, and interactions to understand why the four central people have been the subject of electronic surveillance and to find out the nature of the character’s role in these events.

– scroll forward and backward in videos, highlight certain words in the subtitles to search, and keep notes within an in-game memo pad.

– Remember, telling lies is a series of one-sided conversations, which means that these clips only provide the video and audio from one side of the conversation, so players must find which clips may match the other participants, as well as potential interactions with around 30 other people

– The player only has a limited time within a single round to scan material from the hard-drive. If the time is finished you must restart (losing all notes and bookmarks). – Unlike anything you’ve played before, Telling Lies is a game where you decide the truth. You may reach three different endings, depending on which character’s videos they explored most frequently.
