About The Game

Setting

Need for Speed Heat is set in an open-world environment called Palm City which is a fictionalized version of Miami, Florida and their surrounding area. This new setting is offering players a chance to race around a neon city with mercurial weather and unparalleled nightlife. The game’s map features diverse geography, from mountainous areas to open fields.

Day or night

The Need for Speed Heat does not include a 24-hour day-night cycle. But player can choose either day or night and they can switch between them anytime in the game.

Take part in sanctioned race events in the morning and win cash. You can use your rewards to buy new cars or to upgrade what you already have. Enjoy illegal street races at night. You will earn players rep. The more rep player earns, the more aggressive the police will be during the night. As you probably saw in other Need for Speed installments, you must escape the cops and the aim is to avoid getting arrested and get back to your safehouse before your car is destroyed.
