FIFA 20 is an upcoming football simulation video game that will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows on 27 September. It will be the 27th in the FIFA series.
Gameplay
* Campaign mode, online leagues and squads
* Better manual defending, revamped shooting and indoor modes.
* The brand new VOLTA football mode is the biggest change. The word “Volta” means “return” in Portuguese. This feature is mostly focused on the small-sided street football instead of the traditional matched that exist in other FIFA series. This mode that is more about skills and independency rather than team play, has some Optional games including 3v3 rush, 4v4 and 5v5 and professional futsal matches. Matches will take place in indoor and outdoor places, 17 famous stadiums from all around the world included.
You will have the chance to build up your squad, lead through the Volta storyline and play in online Volta league or you can take your team to the streets, if you prefer!
Features
* Like “The Journey” in FIFA 19, players will have the opportunity to customize their avatars by choosing options such as gender, shape, skin tone, clothing, shoes, tattoos etc.
* The traditions 11v11 football game will have some changes too. Penalty and free-kick mechanics are updated.
* The ball physics will be more realistic. The part of a player’s foot that hits the ball will effect on the ball trajectory
* Fully interactive press conferences and player conversations.
* new icons including players such as Didier Drogba, Ian Wright, Ronald Koeman, Andrea Pirlo, Zinedine Zidane and Carlos Alberto Torres will be added to the team mode.
* New game modes in Ultimate Team will include King of the Hill and Mystery Ball. “Mystery Ball gives the attacking side boosts to Passing, Shooting, Dribbling, Speed, or All attributes, adding an element of unpredictability to every match”. Meanwhile in King of the Hill, players “fight for possession in a randomly generated zone on the pitch to boost the amount your next goal is worth.”
* Your choices (such as height, weight and position) will affect the avatar playing in FIFA 20.
* New House Rules Cups match with different cup each week, and new Practice match that will allow you to play against AI alone or as a team, are added to the game. In the practice match players will have the chance to choose the AI tactics and how hard the game would be to play in the way they want.
* The shooting accuracy will be improved allowing for more shots on target.
* Timed Finishing which was a new mechanic for FIFA 19 will be back in FIFA 20. But due to the feedbacks on the FIFA 19 the green timing window will have 2 frames to making it more difficult.
* Dynamic weather: rainy weathers will be added that will practically change the game’s pace.
Note:
Although the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions will be fully updated with new features, the Nintendo Switch version won’t have the Volta football mode. And the game won’t be released for Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 therefor the FIFA 19 will be the last and final game in these platforms.
