Diablo IV

After all these years of will-they-won’t-they, Blizzard has finally announced Diablo IV at BlizzCon 2019. In spite of speed bump, that was the Diablo Immortal news at BlizzCon 2018, Diablo IV had been an open secret for years. After months of rumors, and several consecutive leaks in 2019, it has been officially confirmed by Blizzard at Blizzcon 2019. Diablo 4 is an isometric function, RPG. Which is shows the return of the Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto.

Diablo 4 is a return to the darker look of early Diablo with even more infidelity and blasphemous imagery per capita. After the early rush of information, we may not get more details on Diablo 4 again, for quite some time. We’ll collect everything you need to know about the next Diablo game here, so check back to hear about any future permeance, trailers, and gameplay details.

GAMEPLAY

in light of this game’s release it takes some time away (years, in fact) it’s possible that everything in this video could change. But it’s exciting to get a glimpse of the direction in which the game’s development is going.

Diablo IV was officially advertised at Blizzcon 2019 where we got the chance to see both the announcement story cinematic, and the first gameplay trailer.

Everything we know about Diablo 4

Three classes were announced for Diablo 4: the barbarian, sorceress, and druid. In a panel following the advertisement, it was confirmed that there will be five total classes. Details on those aren’t available yet.

beside a cinematic trailer that exuded dark horror, Blizzard also gave us a look at some gameplay. We’ve played some of the game, too, and had ahem a hell of a good time with the Druid class in specific. This was one hell of a way to declare Diablo 4. The cinematic is flashy and terrible, exactly as Diablo should be. Imagine how much better off the world would be without treasure hunters accidentally resurrecting the ultimate evil. It’s still early, but we can see ourselves making Diablo 4 builds around it. however, there are loads of gameplay details to dig into.

at the same time, Blizzard has confirmed that the game will feature keys which turn normal dungeons into endgame content, so all that leveling goodness will be hiding in plain sight from the off.

In Diablo 4, there are no more ancient items. Players will earn a consumable that allows them to attach a Legendary affix to non-Legendary armament, basically creating your own ancient items.

Diablo 4 has three new stats

  • Angelic Power
  • Demonic Power
  • Ancestral Power

annexes, on items generally will increase which is expected to raise the significance of non-Legendary affixes with regards to overall power. However, these three new stats will also appear as a new power.

Release Date

We don’t have a publication date for Diablo 4 yet, but we do know it’s a pretty long road ahead, even by Blizzard standards.

During a Diablo 4 panel at BlizzCon 2019, Blizzard said that Diablo 4’s release is a long way off. “We are not coming out soon. Not even ‘Blizzard soon’,” said director Luis Barriga.

If history has anything to say about it, we have a bit of a wait on our hands. Diablo 3 was announced in 2008 but was not published until 2012 – making it four years of development. We are, of course, more than happy to wait.

(We’ll eventually be returning to the lofty Heavens and the Burning Hells. Although, from the looks of things, a lot more Hell…).
