Detroit: Become Human is a third-person adventure game for PlayStation 4 and also for Microsoft Windows.

It’s Detroit 2038. Technology is so developed that androids are everywhere, like humans. They are servants that speak, move and behave like human beings.

Play as three distinct androids and see a world of the future through their eyes. Each decision you make will change the gameplay. Face problems and decide who lives or dies. Thousands of choices and dozens of possible endings. How the future of Detroit and humanity’s destiny will be? It’s up to you!

Characters

The plot follows three androids who may survive or perish depending on dialogue choices.

– Kara is a housekeeper android who develops artificial consciousness and escapes the owner she was serving to explore her new world and become a protector of a young girl.

– Connor is a police investigator android. His job is to hunt down sentient androids that have deviated from their programmed behaviors.

– Markus is a caretaker android who devotes himself to releasing other androids from bondage after gaining consciousness.

There is no “game over” following a character’s death, there are multiple playable characters who can die as the story continues without them.

Countdowns are certain scenes feature which force the player to think and act quickly.

Story

Caretaker android, Markus and his owner return home to burglary and they alert the police. The story goes and Markus bypasses his programming, and then he became a deviant android with full autonomy, leading the police to shoot him. Markus then finds himself in a landfill of broken androids. He escapes and discovers Jericho, a haven for deviants. He gathers other androids to fight for their rights.

Connor is a Police investigator android. The CyberLife Corporation sends him to assist Lieutenant Hank Anderson, an alcoholic who hates androids. During his hunt for Markus’ group, Connor starts to deviate. He eventually locates Jericho and now it’s time to choose, whether to join Markus and convert all androids into deviants or shoot Markus and end everything.

Kara is a housekeeper android who works for Todd Williams and his daughter Alice. Because of Todd’s actions, she escapes with Alice and they travel across Detroit. Kara and Alice become friends with another android named Luther along their way. He joins them on their journey. They intend to enter Canada, which has no specific laws involving androids and where they will be safe. Faith brought to the Jericho where they get caught up in the attack. They can reach Canada by bus or boat, survive a recycling center, or die trying to do so.
