the Bearded Ladies studio announced and released another game called Corruption 2029 After their quite good first strategy game in 2018 called “Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden”. If you are familiar with the developer, it would be easy to call the game “Mutant Year Zero without mutants”. This new tactical squad game is all you can dream of such as Turn-based strategy, Stealth, combat, and corruption similar to the previous game in some ways.
The Corruption 2029 is designed to have a lot more of the plotting, planning, and sneaking than the Mutant Year Zero.
Plot and Setting
The Corruption 2029 is set in fictional post-apocalyptic America and takes place in the future. You’ll use stealth, take cover, and strategically to choose how and when to engage with enemies.
CORRUPTION 2029 is a hardcore tactical game that will test even the most experienced gamers to use their tactical abilities.
You will take control of a squad of heavily augmented ‘units’ deep into enemy territory. The aim is to figure out the cause of the corruption that has taken hold of the country.
In this turn-based tactical shooter, you will direct three soldiers across a series of maps with more than a dozen enemies. Your armed soldiers have specialized weapons and abilities. It seems like a perfect hybrid of modern tactics and the political, violence-optional drama of Metal Gear Solid. Stealth plays a huge and very necessary part as your three characters will always be outnumbered.
But you don’t always have to fight. As in the Bearded Ladies’ previous game, you can ignore some encounters non-violently.
As you start the game you will have only have two silenced weapons and not so many clear shots. You’re forced to be aggressive and move often to maximize your hit odds. As you make progress throughout the game you will unlock better weapons and abilities by completing missions and gaining bonuses.
The graphic is shiny. Ruined cars, autumnal streets alongside soldiers and their nice look, robotic limbs, and oversized triangular helmets are fantastic.
